"You will have tribulation in the world; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (John 16:33) He is the good Shepherd. He suffers when you suffer. He gave his life for you. "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Psalm 23:1) He shows us the way.
"There is a way that seems right to a man, but its way out is the way of death. (Proverbs 14:12) Let us trust in Him for He knows the future.
"It seemed good to me also, after I had made exact inquiries into all these things from their origin, to set them down for you in writing in a continuous manner, excellent Theophilus, so that you may recognize the certainty of the teachings you have received." (Luke 1: 3-4) "I remind you, brethren, of the gospel which I preached to you, which you received, in which you persevered, and by which you are saved, if you hold it as I preached it to you; otherwise you would have believed in vain." (1 Corinthians 15:1-2)
God expects us to be His slaves. We want to be totally dependent on Him. Man is made up of 3 parts: The body is only the shell. The real person is not what you touch but what is inside. You can't explain the wind, the water, or the tree that grows. You can't explain the spiritual with the carnal. There is a Being who makes all these things live. Behind everything that moves, there is the Spirit, that is, the supernatural. When man was created, he was not physical but in the image of God who is Spirit. When God tells us that He gives us power, you can't ignore. We have power in the spiritual realm. God has made you a son. You cannot be weak. You have power over the enemy, but you have to recognize that you are a son. You have the authority of your Father. "These are the miracles that shall follow them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons" (Mark 16:17) And they will go. "My people are destroyed, because they lack knowledge. (Hosea 4: 6) God said it, so we have the victory.
1 Timothy 2:1-3
It doesn't matter if the person is good or bad, we are told for all men. If God finds it good, then it must be good for us too. A servant is one who comes to serve so that the Master finds pleasure. When one is a servant of God, I must do what the Master wants. I do not seek to please the neighbors but my Master. I must do everything so that my Master is pleased with me. "If I still pleased men, I would not be a servant of Christ." (Galatians 1:10)
John 8:30-34
If I am a slave of Jesus Christ, I do what Christ tells me. But if I am a slave to the world, I do what the world wants: fashion, gossip, ...
When you are a slave of Christ, a prisoner of Christ, I must do everything to be found worthy in this world: Never to be peddled! If I call Jesus my Lord, it is because I have found Him worthy of praise and I submit to Him. He is my Lord and my Master. I must therefore know all that pleases Him. I do not want to please myself, but to do the desires of my Master. My life depends on Him.
If we come to this, we will always seek the will of our Master. I was mistreated, but this Master came to take me out of it, He paid the price, He redeemed me. I would die, but now I am free. I feel indebted. Others want to rule over me, but He doesn't. I want to serve Him in the right way so that I can be pleasing to Him.
