The former rain and the latter rain (part 1)

Sunday, June 28th, 2020

We are preparing because the day will come when God will come to get us. We owe Him obedience and have to believe Him. God acts and prepares wonderful things for each of us. When God comes down everything changes. It’s a certainty that one day I’ll go up there. Be firm, Satan needs to hear from authority.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind ”(2 Timothy 1: 7). We must be precise and clear, we are the ones to rule over demons. God gave us something, we have to know our position. Through praise we shall do valiantly. The walls of Jericho fell through praise.

Zechariah 10: 1

When God says something, it has to come true. It will achieve its goal. We have to ask the Lord to teach us how to walk and position ourselves to be in the fulfillment of the Word. “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. (Psalm 126: 5) God is always precise in His way of doing things. When He announced the Good News to the shepherds, “But the angel said unto them, Fear not; for I bring you good news, which will be the subject of great joy to all the people: it is that today in the city of David a Savior was born to you, who is Christ, the Lord. "(Luke 2: 10-11) Paul was certain that if people believed his gospel then they would be saved because he was sure he had received it from God. “May God, on the contrary, be recognized as true, and every man a liar” (Romans 3: 4) We must leave our thoughts and let the Holy Spirit act to be taught of Him. God sends the preachers, Paul was a prisoner of Christ. He treated his body harshly for that. God doesn't do nothing for nothing; He's got a schedule. “In the city of David there was born to you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This is the Good News for the living but also for those who were in Heaven. This is why it is important to keep His Word and to keep it in your heart. The sign of the election: faith, love of the Word of God. “For the time will come when men will not endure sound doctrine; but, having the itch to hear pleasant things, they will give themselves a host of teachers according to their own desires "(2 Timothy 4: 3) Truth sanctifies you, we do not like what prunes us. But which heaven are we going to go to? This is the Heaven of God, with His conditions. He is the way to go there. No prophecy requires interpretation. “For it was not by a human will that a prophecy was ever brought, but it was moved by the Holy Spirit that men spoke from God. "(2 Peter 1: 21)

Zechariah 10: 1 (English version)

“Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. ”

The latter rain means the rain of the last season.

In the cycle of the seasons, autumn comes before winter, winter which represents death. When we talk about the late season rain, we are talking about the rain from the last season. If winter is death then autumn is the last season.

Joel 2:23

There is only one God. "You are Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered and said unto him, Happy art thou, Simon, Bar-Jonah; for it was not flesh and blood that revealed this to you, but it is my Father who is in heaven. "(Matthew 16: 16-17)" I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and the understanding, and that you have revealed them unto babes. (Matthew 11:25) You cannot know God yourself. When you have the revelation of that then you don't move. The Lord of the Old Testament and the Jesus of the New Testament. Without it, without this revelation, you cannot move on with God. People said during the peak of COVID-19 that the Lord is coming. The peak has passed, the coronavirus has passed. This virus is not seasonal, it left because we prayed. There are several Jesus but we serve the Jesus of the Bible. At the appointed time, God said He will give rain. If He said it, He has already done it. We just need to know when to ask. God watches over His Word. In a year, there are 4 seasons. In the spring, we come out of winter. When we ask for something, we are asking for something that we long for, that is what you pray to God for. You know the importance. Winter is a cold time, when you cover yourself with big coats. During this period, nothing grows: it is the period of death, the sap descends. If the sap does not come down, the tree dies. But it’s not in the spring when we start sowing. Death is gone, we start planting again. After spring comes summer. In summer, the heat is strong and with the sun, the seed will burn. That’s why we ask for rain in order to grow. Rain is really important to me because there is a seed below the earth that needs water to live. Spring is therefore the first season. If there is no rain, no matter how good the seed is, when the heat comes, the seed will dry out. This is restoration, we take it back to its origin. There, the shoot begins. So this is the rain of the first season so that the seed can germinate. By the parable of the sower, we see that the seed that is sown is the Word of God. God can't have any seed other than the Word of God. God sowed with the same authority on the different lands. The Word comes with the same power, but how do you get It? The problem is not God but you playing with the Word. King Ahasuerus called his wife to come, she didn't pay attention because she thought she was untouchable, unbreakable but there was an Esther somewhere. Obedience and humility to God is better than anything. We are absolutely nothing. Esther, at her uncle Mordecai's, was obedient, God worked and prepared her character. God is dealing with you, daughter of Abraham. God teaches you, He knows every day of your life. What do you have to tell Him? The seed fell on the different soils. On the stone, it was the same Word, but the sun scorched the seed. The problem is, where do you put the Word? God will never impose himself. You care for the worries of life. "Don't worry about your life for what you eat, or your body for what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap, neither do they gather anything in barns; and your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than them? "(Matthew 6: 25-26) The seed that falls in good soil, that is, soil ready to receive. Listen as the disciples listened. Martha and Mary had the same feeling to receive Jesus. See their reaction when their brother died. It is in hardship that you see your true nature. How would you have reacted in their place for this Jesus who did not come before the death of Lazarus? But Mary ran to the Lord’s feet. Just getting away from the Lord, you’re on your way to death. "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. "(John 11:21) A woman's character is very important because she is the one who stays at home and educates the children. Children only copy what they have seen at home. The child has no vocabulary. Over time, he will enrich it. So whatever he is going to say comes from you.

When the seed falls into the good soil, it will produce more and give life. God shows you the way. When the Lord comes, He will seek a Bride, hence the importance of the bride. The bride projects a character of the Church, that's why they say, if you want to see the spiritual level of the church, look at the sisters. Queen Vashti thought she was unbeatable. Never think you are essential.

Isaiah 54: 14-16

God had already provided with Esther to replace Queen Vashti. Let no pride enter you. We are soldiers. “There is no soldier who gets into the business of life, if he wants to please the one who enlisted him (2 Timothy 2: 4). As soldiers, we must be in our place to fight. Your place is in the house of the Lord. We fight together. “Your wives, and your little children, and your flocks will remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side of the Jordan; but all of you mighty men shall pass over armed before your brethren, and help them, until Jehovah has given rest to your brethren as to you, and they also possess the land which the Lord your God gives them. Then you will come back and take possession of the land which is your property, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you on this side of the Jordan towards the rising sun. (Joshua 1: 14-15) In the spring, we sow so that the seed can germinate to bring us to the harvest. We must pray that there will be rain so that the seed can germinate. In spring, it does not rain for long but it is stormy rains that can cause flooding. But these rains do not have time to penetrate the earth. The water is streaming, it just allows the fields to be moist so the seed can germinate. Then the sun can come, it just makes the germ stronger. The roots have taken a stand.

Joel 2:23

In Zachariah, it’s really the latter rain. So it is not the spring rain but the autumn rain.

Hosea 6: 1-3

Hosea 6: 1-3 (English version)

"As the latter and former rain unto the earth." The latter rain.

The rain of the first season is the rain of spring and the rain of the latter season is the rain of autumn. The rain has to come to give life to the seed. Spiritually, what is rain?

John 7: 37-39

When we talk about rain, we are talking about the Spirit. The rain of the first season is the sowing time. “ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. "(John 1: 1-4) A seed that does not have the germ of life is of no use. The letter kills but the Spirit gives life. If we insist on the letter, we can kill a lot of people. The Pharisees had the law and they killed a lot of people. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. We are also told about the late season rain. When you sow, you have to know what you have sown or you will wait for what? How are you going to harvest? If I sow, I know what to reap. The good sower sowed the good seed but the evil one came and sowed the tares. “After this I will pour out my spirit on all flesh; (Joel 2:28) The rain comes on the good seed and on the tares.

Hebrews 6: 4-8

Matthew 5: 43-45

The rain falls on the righteous and the unrighteous.
