Walk in newness of life

We have testimonies throughout the Bible that prove the truth of what God has said. Doubt cannot even enter our minds. It is in our age that God will complete what He has begun. We are called to play a very important role. God has already prepared us for this so that we will have an unshakeable faith.

When God spoke to Abraham to tell him to go, Abraham did not doubt why he did not know where he should go. Abraham had to believe in the impossible. Abraham had no testimony to hear but we have Abraham's testimony. Much will be asked of us because we have received much. Through the Bible, we see all that God has done with the people of Israel, but Abraham did not know all that. We have seen that a whole nation came out of Abraham but Abraham did not see this. We cannot hesitate, we cannot argue with the Scriptures. God does not change His way. God is good and gentle but He is also a God of wrath. God will ask a lot of us. Abraham received the promise, Isaac but God asks him again for this son. When God asks you again, it is not that He has abandoned you!

"For our God is also a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:29) We see the Lord as gentle but you forget the other parts of Scripture. When Dathan played with God in the revolt with the sons of Korah, God opened the earth and swallowed them all up. We must have respect and fear for God. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who observe it are of sound mind." (Psalm 111:10) God cared for the people of Israel, He fed them, clothed them but they went too far. "And that they all drank the same spiritual drink, for they drank from a spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ." (1 Corinthians 10:4) They all came out of Egypt, saw the Red Sea, beat nations on the road and murmured. We have found favor in the eyes of the Lord. We who were not a people, He made us a people. When our hearts are willing, God is able to do much. "Behold, obedience is better than sacrifice, and keeping his word is better than the fat of rams." (1 Samuel 15:22) When we walk with God, the doors to what lies ahead are already open. It is your doubts and fears that give strength to Satan. Whose children are you? "He has blotted out the deed whose ordinances condemned us and which stood against us, and has destroyed it by nailing it to the cross; he has stripped the rulers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in the cross." (Colossians 2:14-15) "Behold, I have given you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19)

When God's people arrived in Jericho, they knew that the walls were thick. It was not by the sword that they fought but by the Spirit of God. They simply circled the city. Believe, obey and go with God. If God said 7 turns, He knew why He said that. They could have said to themselves one is enough, for what 7? That is unbelief. Just do what God told you. They looked ridiculous going around Jericho like that. One day, two days, three days, ... When God says something and you don't do it, condemnation hangs over you.

Psalm 50

How can you be proud when everything belongs to Him? You can fool the people who are with you but not God!

On the 7th day, they continued: that is perseverance. They could have asked themselves the question. When you are a son of God, God has placed this in you: perseverance. On the 7th day, they had to shout. We don't waste our time with God. The whole time they were going around, the foundations were working. The Word is working. When they cried out, the walls of Jericho fell. Let's just obey the Word of God without calculation and you will see the result. The wall did not fall by cannon fire, but only by obedience to the Word. Do not waste your time trusting your thinking, trying to please the world. If God has brought you out of the world, there must be a difference. "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. The old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17) We come to church because we want to be in Christ. No one is going to push you into heaven, you have to get in. "From the time of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forced, and it is the violent who take it." (Matthew 11:12) Everyone leaving the world wants to find Christ.

Romans 6:1-3

Why are we buried with Christ? "Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38) I want to die with Christ and rise in Christ.

Galatians 5:16-17 / Romans 6:4-5 / Romans 8:5-9

We are shown the excellent way: walk according to the Spirit, not according to your thoughts. Each one walks according to his desire, but we no longer belong to ourselves.

Galatians 5:24 / Romans 8:9

When you enjoy what you are doing, you do not belong to Him. With your attitude, what rapture would you go to? You are shutting the door to heaven. "What then shall we say concerning these things? (Romans 8:31) It is not God's fault. When you didn't know how to do good, He gave His life. You love the world too much. How do you want to go to heaven? Examine yourself! You are killing yourselves. Let us be sons and daughters of God. Let us love the Lord!
